Why Choose This Activity
Memory Cards fits Memory Care when someone wants the classic flip-and-remember game with automatic pacing. Unlike Memory Guide, the game controls card flips and scoring - the player focuses on finding pairs. The Slower option gives extra time to study before cards turn back.
Adjustable board size and a Slower pace toggle make the standard memory-game format accessible without caregiver-led flipping.
How It Plays
Tap a card to flip it, then tap a second to try for a match. Matching pairs disappear; mismatches turn face down again. Clear the whole board to finish. With Slower on, both flipped cards stay visible until you tap again to close the turn.
Settings & Difficulty
Levels: No difficulty settings
- Card count: 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, or 20 (always even)

Facilitator Tips
- Start with 6–8 cards (3–4 pairs) before trying a full 20-card board.
- Turn Slower on when the player needs time to study both cards before they flip away.
- In Slower mode, green tint means match and red means mismatch - tap anywhere to continue.
- Encourage naming pictures aloud when flipped - it can help memory.
- Changing card count or Slower setting after Start restarts the game.
