Why Choose This Activity
Catch Me! suits a short burst of active engagement when someone is alert and enjoys reacting quickly. It fits Memory Care and Sharp Mind paths and works well as a warm-up before a calmer activity. The 45-second round keeps sessions brief and easy to repeat.
Clear Tap versus Skip rules, visible target lists on lower tiers, and a forgiving Relax mode make selective attention practice approachable.
How It Plays
After a short countdown, pictures appear on screen for 45 seconds. Tap the targets shown in the green Tap list and leave red Skip pictures alone. Pictures move in Pulse mode (grow and shrink) or Rain mode (fall from the top). Score points for quick correct taps; wrong taps and missed streaks cost points.
Settings & Difficulty
Levels: relax / easy / normal / hard / expert
- Five difficulties: Relax through Expert with more targets, skips, and speed
- Motion: Pulse (grow/shrink) or Rain (falling)
- 45-second rounds; score multipliers from Relax ×0.5 to Expert ×2
- Hard/Expert: catch two kinds, skip two kinds; kinds swap each round on Expert
Facilitator Tips
- Start on Relax - three targets, nothing to skip, and a visible list before pictures move.
- On Relax through Normal, read the Tap and Skip list together before the countdown ends.
- Hard and Expert hide the list behind question marks; one tap reveals that picture's kind.
- Switch between Pulse and Rain if one motion style feels easier to track.
- Emphasize that letting a target go does not hurt the score - only wrong taps do.
