Why Choose This Activity
Coloring Book suits a quiet, restorative moment on Wellness Path or Memory Care when you want creative engagement without pressure. There is no score and no wrong colours - the person stops when the picture feels finished. Conversation at the table is welcome alongside colouring.
Tap-to-fill is forgiving and familiar; picture detail and palette size can be tuned without turning the session into a test.
How It Plays
Tap Start to open a colouring page, pick a colour from the palette, and tap inside a region to flood-fill it. Black outlines keep each fill inside its area. Recolour any region as often as you like; Undo steps back only the last fill. Tap Done when the picture feels complete.
Settings & Difficulty
Levels: No difficulty settings
- Picture filter: Any, ★ Easy, ★★ Medium, or ★★★ Hard (detail level)
- Palette: Basic (8), Medium (16), or Full (24) colours
- No sound or music; session ends with Done, not a graded result
Facilitator Tips
- Pick ★ Easy pages for simpler shapes; ★★★ Hard pages have more detail, not a higher bar to beat.
- Use Basic palette (8 colours) when too many choices feels overwhelming.
- There is no rush - let the person set the pace and talk about colours or memories if they wish.
- Undo only reverses the last fill; tapping the same area again with a new colour also works.
- Random is fine when choosing a page feels like too much decision-making.
