Why Choose This Activity
What's Next? taps into familiar everyday order - days of the week, meals, counting, seasons - on Memory Care and Sharp Mind paths. The sequences feel natural rather than abstract, which can be reassuring. There is no timer, so players can think through each step.
Everyday sequences with gentle correction feedback make ordering practice feel familiar and conversational rather than test-like.
How It Plays
Read the short sequence shown (for example Monday → Tuesday → ?) and tap what comes immediately next. Each round uses a different kind of sequence - days, counting, letters, meals, and more. After a miss, the correct answer is shown, then play continues.
Settings & Difficulty
Levels: Easy / Medium / Hard
- Difficulty: Easy, Medium, or Hard (different sequence topics per tier)
- Rounds per session: 5, 8, or 10
- Miss feedback shows the correct next item
- No sound or music; no time limit per round
Facilitator Tips
- Emphasize the immediate next step, not just something that comes later (for example Evening after Afternoon, not Night).
- Read the sequence aloud before the player chooses - especially helpful on first sessions.
- A wrong answer that feels reasonable (like Night after Afternoon) is a good conversation starter.
- Easy covers days and counting; Medium adds months and meals; Hard adds seasons and clock hours.
- Choose 5 rounds for a first session before trying 8 or 10.
