Why Choose This Activity
Peg Solitaire suits Sharp Mind and Memory Care when someone enjoys a familiar board puzzle without a clock. Jumping pegs over each other feels tactile and satisfying, and there is no rush to finish. Different board shapes keep the same simple rule fresh across sessions.
Classic peg-jump rules with forgiving goals on gentler difficulties, optional undo and hints, and many board shapes to explore.
How It Plays
Tap a peg to see possible jumps highlighted in green, then tap a highlighted hole (or drag the peg there). Each jump removes the peg you jumped over. The game ends when no more jumps are possible. A Goal pill below the board shows how few pegs to aim for at your chosen difficulty.

Facilitator Tips
- Start on Relax with unlimited undo and hints while learning the jump rule.
- Pegs only move by jumping - there is no sliding without jumping over another peg.
- Try the classic Triangle board first; Diamond, Hexagon, Cross, and Star offer variety.
- Gentler goals allow several pegs left; Expert asks for one peg back in the starting hole.
- There is no timer - stopping early is fine if the player is happy with their result.
