Why Choose This Activity
Fleet Hunt suits Sharp Mind sessions when someone enjoys a familiar hide-and-seek puzzle on a grid. Solo play against hidden ships keeps the pace self-directed. The coloured fleet bar below the board shows what is still afloat as you search.
Classic battleship-style searching with optional hit glow on Easy and a visible ship checklist makes spatial planning approachable.
How It Plays
Tap blue ocean squares to fire. A miss shows a light splash; a hit marks orange and means a ship is nearby. Hit every square of a ship to sink it - surrounding water clears automatically when it goes down. Sink every ship on the fleet checklist to win.
Settings & Difficulty
Levels: No difficulty settings
- Difficulty: Easy (smaller grid, hit glow hints), Normal, or Hard (largest grid, one-cell dinghies)
- Volume control for hit and miss sounds
- Fleet checklist greys out ships as they are sunk
Facilitator Tips
- Start on Easy - smaller ocean and yellow glow around your last hit suggests where to fire next.
- Point to the fleet bar under the board to track which ships are still afloat.
- After a hit, search adjacent squares - ships sit in straight lines and cannot touch each other.
- On Hard, watch for one-cell dinghies that are easy to overlook.
- Fewer total shots with more hits makes a stronger result - no need to rush.
