Headset Use
The GLW headset is simple to use and requires no pairing or setup.
Power & Readiness
- The headset connects with a USB-C cable.
- Plug it into any USB power source (phone, tablet, USB charger, laptop).
- When powered, the headset is ready to connect to the GLW app using Bluetooth.
- You’ll see a faint blue front light - this indicates the headset is powered and waiting for the app.
Connection & Start
- When you tap Start in the app and choose to activate the headset, the app connects automatically.
- Once connected, the headset receives the PBM program definition and the start command from the app.
During a PBM Session
The headset uses clear color signals to show what part of the PBM program is running:
- Blue (strong) - cooling or rest periods
- Red (strong) - active PBM state
- Purple (strong) - “back of the head” periods with different parameters
Most PBM programs have an active state lasting 10-20 minutes, depending on what is assigned to the user.
Repositioning Guidance
Some PBM programs include repositioning steps.
When repositioning is needed:
- The app plays an audible signal.
- The bottom drawer shows instructions such as: Front, Left, Right, Back.
You simply move the headset to the indicated position and continue.
Cleaning
- Wipe gently with a soft cloth.
- Avoid liquids entering any openings.
Troubleshooting
In almost all cases, issues are Bluetooth-related:
- Make sure Bluetooth is turned on on your phone or tablet.
- Check that the headset is flashing faint blue (ready state).
- If not flashing:
- Try a different power source.
- Try a different USB-C cable (they can fail).
- If the app doesn’t detect the headset:
- Close the app completely and restart it.
- If still not working, reboot the phone.
These steps resolve nearly all connection issues.
